Biographical Information

As of February 2024, Nikolaos (Nikos) Alexopoulos is an MSCA postdoctoral fellow at the Business Analytics Laboratory of the Athens University of Economics and Business. His MSCA project is SPUCS, aiming to provide users more control over their smart devices via transparency mechanisms and novel software architectures. Before joining AUEB, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Telecooperation Lab of TU Darmstadt, Germany, where he had previously become a Dr.-Ing. with his dissertation titled New Approaches to Software Security Metrics and Measurements. He is interested in all aspects of computer security and privacy, with a focus on transparency mechanisms, metrics and measurements for software security, anonymous communication systems, and decentralized computing.
